hi - I want to upgrade my gti stock speakers - What size do I need and how many?

the front and rear has 2 165mm mid/bass speakers and 2 dash tweeters... You can buy component kits which are direct fit (and the speaker covers fit back on) or you can fit 170mm speakers but the speaker covers wont go on if there deep speakers!

would it be ok to fit 16.5cm 3-way speakers? - or would it be to much treble??

If you can find components they will give much better sounds.. I am using 2 way speakers but my stereo lets me adjust the sounds for each speaker and i only get high notes from mine..

so would you suggest 4 x 16.5 2ways then?

If you have a sub 3 way front/2 way rear.. if not 3 way front and 3 way rear (I bet some people will disagree tho?)
