Massive flat spot!!!
« on: 26 February 2008, 17:31 »
I thought it was much clutch but now im not so sure!  It stalls in 3rd with the hand brake up!  But when i put my foot to the floor in 2nd, the engine makes a sucky noise and a bit of grunt but i dont go anywhere fast!  then it starts to pick up over 3000rpm ish and it begines to pull me back a bit.

Its a 2E engine, is this a common thing?   The hose that runs from that back box on the cam cover to down near the oil filter is broken and taped up,  Could that cause it?

Cheers.

Ah,  ok i also found out my main intake pipe from the air box was not tightend to the inlet manifold (sucking un meterd air)  not sure if it would be enough to cause this,  I will service the car and see how it is then.
