rear and side glass.

I need to takeout the side glass and boot glass out of my golf gti mk3 as there is small specs of rust under the seal.could any one tell me if i need a special tool to cut out the glass or can i use other method. many thanks.

if its any thing like a mk2  they just push out.

get ya missis.. or a m8 to hold window from outside, whislt you jump inside and pull the rubber seal downwards as you push window outwards.

when puttin em back in, try this trick like i did.

puttin bk in..

put the window in bottom first then get some string, put it round the inside of the seal..... get ya missis or ya m8 to pull from 1 side of the string (inside the car) and you follow the string pushing the window in. as you push, the string comes out and the middle of the seal pops into place. (does that make sence.)

use a bit of washin up liquid to..  good bit of lube always does the job!

thanks verry much for your reply.but on the mk3 golf the windows are bonded in and i have been toled you have to cut them out.many thanks [by the way nice mk2].
