Did VW ever sell mk4's with upgraded speakers as standard?

i dont' think it was either; there was an upgraded sound system offered but that was with the Nokia DSP box and a couple of extra speakers

Bose is an upgrade option on Audi's for sure

says on the site that grey didnt come in untill 2002 but i have it on a 2000 car, i have the gamma radio cassette with the cd multichanger on top with 8 bose speakers,not that im complaining

You could have as an option upgraded stereo with the bosse speakers on a 2000 golf.
