Tailgate question

Hi there, I have a 1994 Mk3, and the tailgates getting replaced. Only thing is, the one i found is silver and needs sprayed the same colour as the car (and no, i can't get one the same colour, LB5T is so difficult to find). I was wondering roughly how much paint will be needed (as in litres)? And primer, laquer etc. It's going to be sprayed by a guy with an air compressor.

.5 liter of paint will make a 1liter when thinned down this will be plenty to paint boot -primer the same and lacquer and you will need activator and hardener
