performance car mag
« on: 29 February 2008, 21:27 »
Picked up a copy of Performance Car from Tesco's at lunchtime. Did'nt realise it's a first issue of a new mag. Only bought it coz it's got a group test of some 80's Icons (Golf Rallye, Integrale, Audi Quattro and E30 M3)

Did'nt get much of a chance to have a good read at work, but it seems like it's going to focus on cars that are slightly more affordable than what you get when you buy Top Gear.

The front cover is a white Renault Clio Cup to help you spot it if you're looking in the shops.

Just noticed that it's got a write up about a 2005 Mk5 GTI on page 128 aswell.

I will try and let them off the comment on page 158 where they call the Mk3 and 4 'disappointing'

Yep, I bought this earlier in the week. It looks like a promising magazine.

....But how is it different from "Performance Tuner" mag?

Lancia Delta Integrale, in yellow
What a legend! I've seen one on the streets of zurich, it still looks great. And I very much dig the elefant.  :nerd:

Not that much different - especially as I bought them at the same time

There was quite an interesting read in the new EVO magazine...dont know if u guys have seen it...the Lancia Intergrale vs Clio Sport 197 Cup, Corsa VXR 888 and the new Fiesta ST185....quite interesting and funny quite funny when you think how a corsa can be pushing 225bhp into the front wheels with a price tag of about £20k....for a corsa

I thought the new version of Performance Car mag was pretty good. I liked the feature on the Quattro, M3 etc.

Mind you didn't the original Performance car mag (still have some of those in the garage) turn in to EVO???
Bye Bye Edition 30
