what does drilling the air box achieve?  thinking about doing mine, i have run some ducting from the lower grill directly into the air box. so will i gain anything from drilling

It just enables more air to get into the engine, say at the moment the air filter has one cold air feed, if you dill lots of holes the, amount of air able to pass the filter is greatly increased.

drilling the air box only works if you drill the wing side (otherwise you get hot engine air that kills power)

As whoever put on the rubbish Kand N induction kit on my car is causing it to splutter and cut out, Im lookign for an original / replacement panel box?
(the actual filter housing black plastic box case thing)!

Anyone have one?

Its worth an ask as a lot of you may have replaced yours for cones and have the old ones lying around?

If not, where can I get one from?

Well I will be installing the K&N induction kit on my car but not getting rid of the original box.

I also have brand new Iridium Tough plugs installed and that improved the car a bit.
