i am after a oem sat nav , it will be of e/bay when i do get it . looked in to it on here and other web sites . just want to know if the c version , the dvd one will work in my car . may 06 gti , or do i have to have the cd version .... dont want to waste money if i get the wrong one ...

From what I've read, Any version CD or DVD will just simply plug in and work

Agreed - should be simple plug/play install - you will need a GPS antenna of course. Plenty of info here:
