If you get before and after runs on the same rollers you'll know what your gains are, I've been asured by Jim at Awesome that there is nothing he can do to tamper with results.

Ok... I am back looking at this again!!

Not sure why, as I am quite happy with the car as it is, but I guess its almost like getting a new game for your PS3. Has anyone had the revo or superchips? Any idea what kind of gains Awsome offer??

thx

A remap on a naturally aspirated car will generally only give around 10% even with a Milltek and intake. West tuning did their R32 and Had quite a bit of work done to it.

Increased the bore of the throttle bodies
Full free flow Milltek system
Schrick high lift camshafts
Remap

and even with this work the engine "only" went from 220bhp (yes it was 220 as standard on a Rolling Road) to 271bhp (and 244lbft)

Get an ED30 and remap it

But i rekon I got a fast one!!

Think it should push out an extra 10bhp either way. I know you can get much better gains from a Ed30... but I honestly wouldnt swap my R32 for another golf.. Im sure I echo the sentiments of many. Its not that the ED30 isnt better or faster after remap... I am just more suited to the R32. Plus I would miss many of the things that come as standard on the R but not on a Gti.

Without stating all the differences between the 2 i think it has been clearly established that they are totally different cars!

Getting back to the remap thing then, a straightforward remap will easily give an extra 10 horsies on its own

The Exhaust and induction kit would give another 10 horsies and a sharper throttle response (and it doesn't have a slow response anyway!!)

If I had an R32, these are the ones I would do

Not too sure about the exhaust and induction kit as when I give the car back these will have to be removed. The remap appeals more for this reason. Plus I dont want to invalidate the warranty either... they car be a pain inspecting a car when i goes back :undecided:

APR remap is switchable via the cruise control

TBH I doubt that VW would even spot the difference with a 10bhp hike in power :undecided:

I was considering this, but as stated you need to get the gases flowing better for any real results.. and I really don't want to lose that exhaust note just yet  .. So I'm just going to keep saving and reconsider the options at the end of the warranty period.

Steve Howe,Triple H motor sports.  07711120884.

Dont think there will be many Revo tuners with R32's,give him a call.

Chris.
