Wire Coming From Tax Disc Holder

I have just tried to change my tax disc holder, but when i tried taking the old one off i found it had a wire coming out of it & down the back of the dashboard. Does anybody know what it's for.

Yes I'd say its the aerial for your phone kit and they have routed it up to the tax disc holder to improve reception

Some Car Kits use a Tax Disc holder as the aerial!
