hi all,

after having a company car for so long, i need a mk2 for a hobby car to cheer me up as i havent had one for ages now! my last was a g reg 16 v black, 3 door that i found at a scrappers and rebuilt it, now since i have been out of it for a whil!!! who is the best for insurance, i heard that you can get them on classic insurance??? does anyone have one for sale near manchester (has to be a 3 door but and colour) and cheapish, as long as it runs,

Keep an eye out on here and the other VW enthusiast sites for one and as for insurance, the main man at the moment is Martinb at HIC (see Insurance section), he's done good deals for a lot of people on here and yes you can pretty much do classic insurance with a limited mileage.

i got a limited mileage STANDARD policy from H.I.C. via martin b - worked out cheaper and they allowed so discount for my other 2 car policy NCB i believe
