What's all the fuss about, ya big girls?

These hub nuts are dead easy.

Try undoing the castle nut on the back of a T25 Transporter - they have to be done UP to 350NM.  Now add 20 years and try getting the 46mm nut off.  Me I use 3/4" drive + long pole on them.

2' breaker bar + one fat bloke normally seems to work on Golfs.

CONGRATS!!!!

for future referance if you dont have a bit of scaf pole to extend ya breaker bar you can lean on the bar hard and then smash it at the end harder.

abit of shock loading works lots of the time

at my work we use GT85 penetrant spray oil and its the muts

ITS A TRAP!

if you ever plan to do this in future I recommend you pop to halfords and invest in a 30mm impact socket, they fit the nut very tightly and wont slip off as easily as a std 30mm socket will.  Their breaker bars are well worth the money too.  I had to buy both in 1 go when my crappy 12point socket started to slip and my breaker bar exploded trying to do the same thing on my GTI

I had on of these to hand as you say good tight fit, well worth the money. Noticed that one of the cvs is wobley where as the other one was quite stiff. does the wobly one need changing?

There's a lot of factors that determine whether a driveshaft/joint is tight or floppy - they're much like women in that respect.

Also, if there is a slight 'clicking', or they're a bit tight you may find they just need lubing up - both women and CV joints again.

Do bear in mind that your CV joints won't respond to dirty talk, and please don't confuse CV grease with KY Jelly, the consequences could be disasterous and totally change your thoughts on how 'dirty' a woman is.

I'll get me coat, shall I?
