Has anyone else had the clip on cover on their air intake come loose?
(This is on an Edition 30)
When I bought my car I opened the bonnet when I first arrived home, I saw that the intake cover (the semi triangular top piece near the leading edge of the bonnet) was loose and clipped it back on. It repeatedly came loose and sometimes came off altogether and fell into the engine compartment. My dealer replaced it and all was fine until recently when the new one came loose, fell into the engine compartment and got mangled by the cooling fan. No other damage was done (as far as I know) but I'd like it sorted once and for all before anything more serious occurs.
My dealer says that the blame may lay with the big torque reaction of the engine and that no permanent cure is posssible.
If anyone has experienced this I'd appreciate your input.
