Volkswagen Fixed Price Service Plan
« on: 05 January 2008, 11:46 »
Ladies & Gents!

Has anyone seen this offer from VW and can anyone shed any light on it?

http://www.vw.co.uk/new_cars/servicing

Specifically I'm wondering if it covers the car (Golf Ed30) to be serviced at any dealership or do I have to take it back to the supplying dealer to get my fixed price 3 year servicing?

Comments appreciated.

Its well worth it but don't forget to cancel it if you sell your car - I for some reason STILL haven't got round to cancelling mine from last March and I sold my car in May?!  Lazy git - been paying £22 to VW for nothing every month.  Got to sort it out next week - could have covered half my re-map costs  :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed:

I'm not so sure if this is the same thing Illyun - this is a one of payment of £200 to cover 3 years servicing, upto a max of 30k miles.....

A bit like the Mini TLC pack I think?

I have just ordered an Ed30 with this service pack and although the Dearer did not state that it was specific to him he did mention that they get a standard payment from VW for it so I would imagine any dealer would carry it out?

This is definitely a different scheme to the one Illyun is referring to as it involves a one off up-front payment of £200.

I had a new GTi on order with a VW dealer recently and managed to negotiate the 3 year service pack for £100.  Looks like a great deal for a limited period.  The scheme only started at the beginning of December so nobody will have had any experience of actually using it.

Are you about to get a new GTi Paul?  What you getting?
