Big arches : Small wheels : Bad image!!

Blue tacked some G60 arches I got onto my car just to see how they looked.... And it looked cack!!

The arches are wider than the track on my car, so the wheels look tiny and the car has a rubbish stance.... Does anyone have any ideas? Could spacers solve the problem or would that be too much strain on the bolts? The wheels are BBS RA...

Any ideas much appreciated! Or if someone (near High Wycombe) fancies swapping 90Spec arches for these let me know... Also up for swapping the RAs for something wider!!

Go wider, I love the stance of mine, it's one of those things that makes your car stand out but in a "je ne sais quai" way. Needs to be low though.

Did you go wider via wheels or spacers though??

My car is way high at the mo  .... But it should go lower in the near future!!!

I went with wider wheels, but it's much of a muchness which way you go, the wheel bolts are up to it, the stress goes on the bearings, they "suffer" either way, but it's not bad.

i have this problem .just put 15" polo gti rims on with a 60mm drop and the back wheels are way in looks s**T .how much of a spacer can i go with without changing the bolts  mk2 gti 8v   cheers guys

No prob! I'd like to know how wide I could go too! 

Just thought I'd pop a couple of pics of the arches up if anyone fancies swapping their 90 Spec ones for these (G60)?!? BTW I have got the snapped off bit of side strip missing from the pic below!
