Motorised Aerial

Am I being dim again or is the aerial on my mk2 meant to be permanently up? or should it be motorised?

And either way is it easy to make it motorised? ( I know I don't really need to but would quite like it? )

Manual as standard, but the best bet is to remove the wheel arch liner and have look, or take the radio out and look for an auxillary output from the radio connected to something.

They're pretty easy to fit cost £30+, to get it to go up and down even without an aux output you can get a switch to do it.  You can even get black as well as silver masts ECP and GSF do them as well as Halfords and other motorfactors.
