hey guys

i just had a llitlle question.. well im finally getting my gti   and ive searched some around and i was wondeirng about this little thing

well , i live in Canada... n all the ones i test drove had a casing over the engine.... but im buying one from America now and gettin it imported bla bla bla...... but this one didnt have the engine casing...... the engine was naked on this one so i was wondering if there was a reason for this.... liek if the USA model or Canadian versions are different or not... i was just thinking bout it.. i just wanna be extra carefull getting and imported car thats all... soooooo any ideas???

like i dont really mind it not having the casing done.. even tho the casing looks sickkkkkk i just wanna make sure its not a big deal..

thx!!!

the engine cover/casing doesnt alter anything really! its there for style more than anything! get it Kustom airbrushed like me if you get one! id paint it for you but you live in canada! lol!

i wouldnt worry about it! alot of people take them off here in the uk anyway, and get their rocker cover polished etc...

Hope this helps!

the casing is only used to make the engine bay look pretty. many people take them off as its supposed to let more air get to the engine

Personally though after finally getting a Golf the casing was the icing on the cake as it makes it look a lot more modern. Not to say dont buy it coz it dosent have one but if u really want one you can buy them online i think
