Possible new VAG tunning centre in the South East
« on: 20 March 2004, 14:22 »
I think there is a lack of decent VAG garages here in the South East. I am considering the idea of opening a AMD style VAG tuning specialist that does general servicing and maintence work on all VAG cars also. Horsham to Guildford area.

It would be run by and employ enthusiasts only, customer service and quality work and care would be the number one priority. The price would be very competitive.

I don't believe there is such a place and i think i have identified a need for it. What you guys think honestly. Would you use it?

I like the idea of a garage run by enthusiasts. ive had trouble with garages taking any interest in my car simply because its old.  >:(
im of the opinion that some vag specialists only want to know if they can plug it in to find out whats wrong. :-\
i have now found a VAG garage in copthorne, west sussex that have so far been great and hopefully by this time next week i will be 'rating' them under good guys. ;) :D

i would like to see a dub garage thats more specialist to be honest. that takes owners seriously and will take on ideas and experimentation. theres nothing really specialist in the area your considering but i think the garage would be successful, you've only got to look at the numbers that attend no rice to see that theres a market for it. 8)

good luck m8!

Can anyone tell me where/if there are any current decent VAG specialists in the South East?
I live near Watford.  Will travel.

Cheers,
Rich.

P.S. If you did open up a new garage, i-espedair, I would deffo be interested.  I would much rather pay money to you than some potential cowboy I've never heard of. (not that I can be sure you're not a cowboy!!  ;) )

I think a decent repair and tuning specialist is needed in the south, As long as your prices are competitive and you treat people like human beings then you'll make a killing.

I find that most garages try it on, even when, like me, you know what your on about. Either that or the level of service is completely rubbish.

I say good luck my friend.

Good luck to you, if you can practice what you say, be competitively priced and as mentioned by modulator, treat people like human beings, then word will get round and you can make a killing out of this. Its too far away for me to travel to but if there was a similar centre that was in the Yorkshire area that was recommended, I'd go.

P.S. Anyone know of one like this in the Yorkshire area ????
......now officially dubless.

There are already two not that far from Horsham down in sunny Littlehampton.

There is John Mitchell, JM Racing, on 07974 020031, who does a lot of G60 and Corrado work, but also Mk3's and 4's, in fact most things.

There is also G-Werks/Pitstop Development as well.

John.
