Fuel Gauge not working!

Just went to the garage to turn it over and the fuel gauge doesnt work at all!!!

checked the fuse and its got twenty quids worth it but it didnt move even a bit!!!

the connection on the back is ok i think... what else can it be?  :cry:

Im no expert on this one Russ, but on a previous car of mine if you "sloshed" the fuel around it would free up the float in the tank. Eventually though I had to buy a new sender unit.  For a 16v'er, they are £57 at ECP, so not too bad, although hopefully its something a bit cheaper!

yeah i thought putting more juice in would make the float... "float" but it hasnt moved it... may dig the sender out the tank see if it moves...  :sick:
