Hi everyone!
So glad I found this site, there's clearly a lot of people here with some good advice, and I need it badly.......!
I've got a p reg mk3 8v gti which has done 110k. It's been in the family since almost new and has been maintained well, no matter the cost. Until recently was running like beautifully and now has this very annoying problem which seems to be getting worse.
It starts perfectly everytime and will run good until it reaches temperature, then the revs will bounce around like crazy (sometimes down to zero) for about 10-20 seconds, then all the power coms back and I'm off again. Sometimes the oil light flashes as well. All the fluids are fine and it was fully serviced about 500 miles ago.
I've read about the '30' block which goes loopy, but this was changed a while back (could it be this, and could it go again?).
Any help would be much appreicated.
Cheers
