thanks mate i retarded the ignition timing and it has sorted the pinking,have yuo any ideas about why the co2 adjustment is not making any difference,when i disconnect the breather pipe and temp sender the car ticks over lumpy straight away and when i adjust the alan head it makes no difference?thanks again

could be an air leak, or the throttle body isn't adjusted correctly.  you did rev the engine over 3k 3 times in a row to put the ECU in 'setup mode' as per my guide right? ;)

yes i was following your guide,i was reading a thread about splitting your afm and moving the cog slightly have you ever done this?

I have, but it didnt help! make sure its the very last thing you try :)
vacuum leaks are 1st on the lst, check the pcv bung seal, vac lines, unwind the idle screw and chekc the o'ring, check for cracks in the intake boot etc etc :)
