Door Frame Join

I've noticed that when travelling in the daylight you sometimes get a distracting reflection from white lines on the road from the painted interior  :sick: section of the drivers door.(not sure if silver is bad for this?)  There's also a visible join on both of mine - is this normal?

Yes it is normal. Both my front doors have joins in them. I even mentioned it to the dealer who showed me 3 other golfs with the same joins.

I know what you mean about the reflections, but again it only happens on the few occasions when the sun comes out and only then when you are at a certain angle.

My Ed30 is steel grey so you cant really see the bits of painted door against the dark headlining but I still think its really poor to have body painted peices showing in a £25k car. Ive not had a car with that for about 12 years and that was a 106 :sick: I wondered the other day how cheap it must look in a red or white golf, must stand out a mile

Yeah I agree I think it's disgusting how I can see the colour of my wingmirrors from inside the car :rolleyes:
