koni adjustables mk3

Hi guys i have a mk3 gti 16v and it has the koni adjustables on it, im just wondering how i go about lowering the car down?
i can see in the boot that it has the white knobs on top of the struts for the dampening rate but i wanna know how i go about further lowering the ride height?
is it a case of using a key?
if so then i dont have a key but i do have an extensive tool kit and can possibly use a spanner or something.
i have just bought the car recently and was wondering as forgot to ask owner how i go about lowering further as he said it aint at its lowest.

Koni adjustables are as far as I know just adjustable for damping rates and not ride hieght. Only full coilovers allow you to adjust the ride height.

No apparently these are adjustable rife height aswell, so they must be the coilovers then, if coilovers then how do i go about lowering the beast

Take one of the wheels off and have a look at the shock/spring set up. It they are coilovers you should see that the pring sits in a cup that is threaded down the shock shaft. THis means you can alter the spring height buy raising and lowering this cup on the shaft. You will however need the correct tool supplied with the coilover which is normaly a C spanner of a set size and shape.

The red bits are the adjustable cups.

The adjustment is in the red rings at the bottom and you'll need one of these to adjust them...

Ive got the same coilovers as the yellow ones posted earlier, I lowered it by 60mm front and rear, it sits nicely and I dont get any rubbing atall not even on full lock!
So you can go pretty low if you want to!
One of my coily's has a serious leak apparently, does anyone know where I could get a single replacement or if such a thing even exists?
