1500 units ED30 ?

following on from something in another thread

Does anyone actually 'know' or asked VW the number of Edition 30 's produced so far?
Like many others I simply dont believe its limited to 1500 , just on the demand and amount of time its been available.

How many months? at an average of x cars/month

or do people believe it ?

There's no mention on the VW uk site about limited numbers ( I was day dreaming about owning one last night so looked them up.)

However, I ordered one last week and was amazed that I still could.  I got the impression from the dealer that there were more available to be ordered too, so maybe like the Mk 4 R32 they have proved so successful they are making more? As they're not numbered like the 25th Anni model we have no way of telling.

VW UK say that in the UK it was limited to 1500 cars. There is no mention of a limit on how many parallel imports you can get from abroad though

Some imports have already been seen on here with the Detroit/Rockingham wheels and so I doubt very much that at the end of the run of the ED30's there will only be 1500 in the UK.

In UK you can get black rims fitted from factory for 1500 quid, I've read somewhere.

But I guess for most of your this is not money well spent.
