What to look out for? 2litre 8 Valve?

Hi, i am picking up my new Mk3 2 litre 8 valve on sunday, its just turned 100,000 miles and i was wondering what i need to look out for as far as it being a sound car, its in pretty good condition with a few scrapes, but what shoud i look out for when looking it over, and driving it before i part with my notes?
