Wassup!
Just a quick query... Did any Mk2s come with some plastic trim over the bare metal in the boat? I.e. on the loading lip and around the lights?
Would cover up some scratches very nicely indeed!

they did, its flimsy as hell so chances are it broke over time and got ditched. what you want is the nice stainless steel ones that are rare as hell...... i have one!

Mine came with a boot trim but it yes it is flimsy as hell and built with the same density and thickness as the packets that supermarket sandwiches are sold in.
i took mine off and made my own boot trim out of vehicle carpet and glued it on.

only fitted to GTI models, if ya got a good scrappy you can get them if you're patient.
The metal ones come off the MK2 'vans'
