agree fully, i would love to try out an R32 just for the comparison,and that great soundtrack, but couldnt live with the day to day running costs of it.I do agree the dsg GTi is a great combination.Owned mine for a year and still enjoy driving it.Gets noticed like you wouldnt believe, and the amount of times i see people of the kerbside or drivers in the other direction looking at the car, puts a small smile on my face  . Wish i could help more on the actual topic of this ie bluetooth and ED30 But i dont own either

I've just got the touchscreen Sat Nav  known as "RNS 510" for my MkV (yet to be installed) and am told from www.vwnavi.com that you need to order Premium bluetooth to be able to make this unit work with bluetooth.  You are way better off ordering it from the factory if you ask me.

From factory they didn't seem to have a system that worked that well, it was all Nokia or Parrot?  And we didn't want all the other kit fitted in the car (my sister has the Nokia one in her Gti and it's nowhere near as good as the Seat one).  The seat Loen one works really well, you can scrole through the phone ect on the dash using buttons on the steering wheel.  Even Skodas have the function and if your brave enough you can retro fit it, as shown here.... http://www.octavia-vrs.com/technical/bluetooth.html

NO, it does not have bluetooth built in as standard, you have to order it as an extra as far as I'm aware.  as far as it works I dont know, I assume its just hidden in the dash and talks to your phone, so nothing extra on the dash like the parrot, just a mic I guess somewhere.  ask your dealer!!!

He was rather pants and didn't mention anything about having bluetooth added to the RNS 510.  The only method according to him was was the Nokia or Parrot (aftermarket).  Hence why i've come on here and asked....

hey Deckedr32, I just wondered what the RNS-510 costs as a factory fitted option, as I cant see it on the pricelist!?
