LED's VERSES STANDARD

Hello 2 All,

quick question:

Does anyone have any views on these new LED lights that are being sold on ebay etc.  are they better, brighter and so on than normal filament bulbs. on ebay there is guide that suggests you need about 9 led's for a light thats as bright as a standard bulb, so i guess that means a cluster with more than 9 individual led's will be brighter than a standard bulb, right?

has anyone used LED's for their break, reverse or rare lights.  how did you find them and where they worth the extra money?

Tried LED lights a while back and they look the nuts (although you have to get them in the right way round, or they don't work at all...) but they are NOT road legal so you'd have to remember to swap 'em for the MOT.

dont worry about them being not legal...coppers have better things to do!!

sorry I was being stupid then...coppers might pull you as your an easy target as muggers are too difficult to catch!!

when you say 'not road legal', what do u mean exactly? behind standard lenses, dont they just look like brighter bulbs?

but if u say they look cool, maybe i should just try a set and take my chances. i hear the amount of paperwork involved in most police vehicle stop and checks means that unless u've really pissed the cops off or got serious law-breaking issues, they tend to leave u alone.
