injector seats
« on: 25 September 2007, 19:30 »
Hi, been fitting another engine into my mk2 golf gti 8v, but i cant seem to get the injectors to fit, i've phoned VW & ordered new seats for the injectors but the ones they keep sending me are too small, has anyone had this problem before?  The other engine is a k-jet (dx) from a mk1, does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

how hard are you pushing the injector back in? Mine were a proper fight to push through, then suddenly pop into place.

hi, the injectors i'm trying to fit are slightly bigger than the seats, two have already broken when trying to remove them so i don't reckon i'll get them from the scrappies.  The only alternative i can think of is boring a bigger hole in the two i still have & using some type of sealant for the other two?  What a nightmare!!!! lol.  On the plus side though, i might have picked myself up another mk2 for pennies, a friend got it to strip the wheels & suspension of it & he's giving me the rest for about £40, so hopefully i'll get back on the road!!!!  Cheers for your help guys.
