Independent throttle bodies
« on: 25 September 2007, 19:44 »
hi there, im in the process of buying an 8v for a project i have be set as part of a motor vehicle technologly course. I'm basiclly stripping it out, doing a new brake set up susspension etc. The idea of independant throttle bodies was put forward to me buy a mate of mine and i'm quite keen on the idea as i have never worked/experianced them before, and being a newbie to VW I thort i would seek some advise. So if anyone has an ITB set up or knows of any good links/contacts for parts etc. or any relevant information that would be fantastic. (as im under slight time pressure so i need to get a budget worked out pretty quick, as it is all part of the project)

Any Info at all would be greatly appreciated, cheerz Russell

Look on ebay for suzuki throttle bodies, off at least a 750cc bike. Suzuki TB's aren't cast together in pairs so it means you can space them out to the spacing of the cylinders. You may have a problem with the 8v engine for space, you'd have a much easier job with a crossflow head like the 16.
