Sorry have to ask ...
« on: 20 September 2007, 20:38 »
later on this year im looking to go from a 1.6 Golf Driver engine to an 8v or 16v i know the topic over 8v vs 16v has been covered many a time but im wondering how much its costs you guys to run yours?

With my 1.6 engine a full tank costs me roughly 45quid ... and lasts a for a 300 miles (i travel 15-20miles 4 days a week on a dual caridge way and the rest of the time ragging about the city) just wondering what you guys get in you 8v or 16v's?

(sorry if this doesnt make sense)

thanks

Well i've just put a 2.0 9A engine into my valver and I can easily get 300 miles to a tank full. Most of my driving is motorway and it still averages 36mpg which is a lot better than my old KR engine.
