Thanks how much is a good price for one of those? My Dads friend has a Mk 3 1.4 im hoping to get (as in my other thread).

Would the insurance be lower on the Mk2? (im 17, its a big problem )

The mk2 will probably be a little cheaper to insure because it's older and worth a bit less.
The Mk3 1.4 is a bit under powered but the Mk2 1.6 will be better for performance and likely to be more fun to drive, but you may not get as much in the modern creature comforts.

Not too worried about that just want a car lol cant seem to find a mk2 1.6 though  mostly seems to be GTi's floating around and (even though this is a GTi forum) i cant get insured on that :(
