Friend's GT TDi 170 has got the twin pipes showing - and thats also from Dane Chester incidentally.  His is a 56 plate if that makes any difference.

Could it be an import? or do non-uk spec imports still have the twin exhaust?

you only get the pipes showing if you spec the DPF diesel particulate filter

It's fast - much faster than the 140 we had and has the all important 170ps sticker?

Its from Dane VW in Chester so I'd have thought it would be right.

Doc, that engine sticker is in completely the wrong place, so I'm guessing it is a fraudulent sticker.

The genuine engine sticker is applied at the factory, and should be on the bottom outer face of the "B" pillar, ie, facing your toes in that piccy.

Both of the data stickers, one inside the front cover of the service book, and the other under the boot carpet stuck to the floorpan or sometimes on the inside of the spare wheel well - will state the engine power in kilo-watts.  Your V5C will also have the engine power.

Whilst it is not unknown to get the occasional "mis-build" from the factory, that engine sticker is very clearly wrong.
