great cars mate. I love Jettas , wish there were more gti's about tho'.

IMHO , one slight thing i'd change on the VR is the oversized tailpipe.

Thanks for the nice replies guys...

Bought a few things at E38 this weekend to update the VR... and sourced a full stainless Jetex system for the VR. The existing pipe WAY too big (lost loads of things inside it... dogs, babies, girlfriend, etc) and very boomy at 50-60mph. Fine on the motorway though... so that's on the cards along with some coil-overs and arch rolling / paint with a Vento front end.

The Jetta is retro cool. I love it. Don't want to sell it to be honest... but I've got an idea in my head for a new project and could do with the room as I also have an '89 Mk2 8v in the drive that I need to move too!
