Headlight brightness

ok before you go spare, i know there is a loom that can be bought or made to make the Golf headlights better with decent bulbs ect, but id like to know how certain members got the bulbs almost giving white/blue effect? ive seen it in a couple of pics.

its a 90 spec gti with the quad lights if it helps.

some people just get different bulbs from halford and places like that. some give off a blue-er light, but im not sure on the legality of those  :undecided:

mot states only white or yellow light from bulbs!! you can get upgraded whiter lights i fitted ugraded loom and brighter white lights def worth it.

peice of pee to make your own, just time consuming if your doing a loom for a 4 lamp grill - and hard to keep track of what wires go where!!!

I bought a set of H4 bulbs from ebay - they are stil going strong after 12 month and only cost about £5! There is also a discount from somwhere - have a look on the discounts board.
