My mate works for Autopaints and he matches any paints that I have wanted and he's brillaint at it, I dont know if there are any branches of that company by you but I'm sure there would be a company that you can take the car to so they can match the paint to your car as its a waste of time just mixing paint according to the paint code.

we did have and autopaint but its shut down. the nearest is liverpool.

I can only find the one place in Sheffield apart from Halfords that mixes aerosols.

I guess i'll have to get one from VW and see if theirs is any better.

My golf is red and I think the problem is that Tornado red is a colour that ages very badly so regardless of who you go to they'll have to match the colour of your car, when I got mine I took it to my mate to get some paint and just to show the difference he mixed paint from the code and then mixed paint that matched the car, I couldnt believe the difference. Sorry I cant be any more help but if you find someone good enough and willing to make the effort you'll get a good match

NOOOOO!!! DONT GO TO VAG!!!

im guessing you know thingytone road? do you know where the lexus dealership is? toyota and mazda etc... well if you go onto that road(the old thingytone road) there is a small trading estate on there(red shutters) billy boy tyres are there and Hillsborough Fencing are on th opposite side of the road(my dads company haha - bit of advertisement there )

well, on that trading estate, there is a small paint company SRS(sheffield refinishing supplies) go there, they are brilliant, will match anything up for you, and its fairly cheap too...sell everythin from g3 cutting compund to double-sided sticktape, if you need to paint it, they have the stuff...

hope that helps

rob

noble tuned - and still not fast enough!
