V.A.G immobiliser
« on: 16 July 2007, 12:02 »
Hi,
I've just bought a 1988 GTI 16v and it is fitted with a V.A.G immobiliser. (old looking thing with punch buttons and no LCD or anything)
The previous owner has changed the battery and i assume the device is deactivated.
I have a code for it but have no idea how to actually use the thing.
Does anybody know what the procedure is for re-activating and using the device?
cheers

its a Swedish car so perhaps its a country specific thing.... I've got a code but don't want to do any experimenting incase the thing won't run after!
