Cheers. Nipper won't sleep again so having to type this with one hand!
Anyway, got the geometry done yesterday and its bad news. It is definitely a bent subframe and chassis.
The only cure is a jig to pull it out again but its not worth running to that expense as the car isn't mint anyway. It drives OK for now and the tyres don't wear funny so I guess I will just limit spending to essential maintenance and run it until it conks out.
