now all i need to do is find one in the north east

sounds the 16v is faster than the 8v so going to look round for a 16v, should give our fiesta st a run for its money

think i will keep it standard "ish" nice set of wheels and a decent radio will do me (and perhaps a nice loud induction kit)

Hi
Im selling my mk2 16v, info below.
If you are interested give me a call on 01234365455. I live in Bedford.
cheers,
Keith

For sale is my mk2 16v GTI in grey.

Ive posted some pictures on photobucket.

http://s238.photobucket.com/albums/ff291/ksetch/

It’s a 1987 with 94800 on the clock which appears to be genuine.
The car has power steering, central locking, electric windows and a full black leather interior. All original factory fitment.
Its also fitted with a thatcham approved immobilizer.

I have got the correct front grill with the spot lights and I have also got the original rear bumper. The original bumper fits properly unlike the one with the towball. Ive only used the car to tow a small trailer (usually with a motorcycle on it)

The bodywork is really excellent, no rot and no sign of any welding or repair work at all.
There has been some paint respray work, but not by me or the guy I brought the car from, so its been done at least 4 years.
There are blemishes in the respray near both door handles (see pics)
and a few small rust spots, the worst one by far being behind the passenger window wiper (see pic).
There are no big rust patches and no sign of any rust behind the wheel arch trims.
There is quite a big scratch on the passenger door (see pic) but its not through to the metal and the door is not dented.

The interior is generally very good but the drivers seat is a little tired on the edge of the bolster, but is not split. There is a small cut in the cushion but its been like that since I had the car.
The passenger and rear seats are in excellent condition.
Carpets and roof lining are fine and even the parcel shelf isn’t brocken.

The multitude of speakers in the doors and rear cards are part of the original fitment for it first owner. They are not very good. There is a hole in the center column where a graphic equalizer was fitted (it didn’t work so I removed it)

Ive had the car for 3 years, and Ive always kept it in the garage.
During that time its had,

Cambelt replaced
New rear wheel bearings discs and pads (both sides).
New rear caliper one side.
New front strut inserts (chocks) and strut top bearings (both sides).
New front tyres.

Gearbox, clutch and exhaust all seem fine.

Engine starts first time and pulls well.

Mot runs out 26th Oct but it should pass another OK. (its only done 2000 miles since the last one, which is part of the reason that I am selling it)
Im looking for £1200

cheers,
Keith
