Hey guys posted on here a few months ago when I was selling my MR2 turbo. Now its finally gone I fancy a cheapish golf and have come across this...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130137702533&rd=1&rd=1

Only thing he mentions is about a whine from the water pump that stops after 5 mins, whats your thoughts on thsi fellas?

Shame the pictures a bit small to spot anything major. Personally I would steer away from chipped cars.

It doesn't sound to good really, okay most of the parts needed can be sourced thru breakers and the web honestly yes its a 16v always nice to have a bit more power than the 8v (like mine) wouldn't pay more than £500 absolute limit. MOT til Dec and tax at end of month. Anybody else.

There are better ones out there for a bit extra that maybe haven't been modified and therefore you can do as you wish and not have to undo anybody elses work to get it the way you want.

Well I put my max bid in of £652 and its gone straight to that
So cant imagine I will be getting that one now. My budget is pretty much £700 as I have used ther est of my cash to clear some bills etc..

If anyone knows of a MK3 GTi 8v or 16v (not really fussed.) for sale then give me a shout. I know my budget is tiny but Im in no rush and there is always a bargain every so often as I have learnt lol.
Ive never really had a "hot hatch" so to speak, jumped straight into the jap scene at 21 and spent 6 years driving MR2 turbos.
Mind you as aresult I cant see insurance being much of an issue on the golfs (which is a plus)
