rather than finding the faults as he isnt a specialist but is a good alrounde rand doe swork for us cheap and very trusworthy, im worried he wont be able to find the fault thats driving me nut the vibrations through the pedals mainly accelerator also when i rev on stand still it make a vibrating buzz sound, it does feel a bit peaky on on accerator im hoping it will be engine mounts like one of you said is there anything else at all it could be i can mention as i cant drive it its that bad its messed up my foot leg and is very sore tingly and painful, i think this cars turning out to be a lemon im sick of older cars there always go wrong but thats what happens with time

also is it normal while jacked  up to be able to mov efront wheel up and down loads when got puncture done he said top mount was shot but it doesnt knock, i bet im going to keep finding loads of things now, not too mention the lumpy idleing and poor response in low revs maybe its normal but it defo runs rough idles about 900-1000 rpm is this right

i so need to sort this vibrating out im in agonie the fine vibratiuons is making me walk peg legged now, if i rev engine wihil eat standd still and can feel a general vibrating on reving engine is that a sign its engine mounts its hard to explain i wrote this tired so it proberly garbled

i heard a few odd noise here and there echoing from back may be pads rubbing, and a gruff noise on pulling of may be an exaust mount, who knows but im sick of it already not the bargain i thought doh
going around about 1pm all specialist vw ar ebooke dup near me and bet cost £Â£Ã‚£ he it bette rat servicing and replacing parts but it sso hard to locate faults even for experts grr car do my headin sometimes, inee dsome experinece of mechanics sometimei thinkof more detailed stuff

bye hope someone can help

Vibrating through the pedals is definately going to be engine mounts. Vibrating underneath when pulling away is either going to be the heat shields rattling or the exhaust hitting one of the brackets underneath. I just removed the bracket!
