Bulb clip hell.....ok - so I'm thick HELP!

Bought some new bulbs for 2002 TDI - and can I hell get the retaining clips back in place....3 hours, a skinned hand, a torch and a mirror...and I still can't the damned things back in place...anyone got a picture of the back so I know what I'm aiming for...or any advice...Halfords wanted ?2 to fit them.....too expensive I thought ;-)  ::)

probably worth paying for halfords to fit them mate, they are a nightmare to put on, i remember trying to help put my mates on his Golf, we ended up taking it to the garage.

You are right guys, the bulbs on a MK4 are a b!tch to change - easier when you have tried a few times. I have just fitted (hopefully for the last time!) Philips 80W dipped 100W main rally bulbs as an upgrade. Can give the website for these illegals if your wish.....!
