wash with shampoo, don't bother drying, just get in there with the clay, wash again as you can leave residue, then polish then wax. you won't have to clay everytime so don't worry about the extra effort, its only once in a while.

drying the car after washing is optional.

I dry mine before i clay as means i can check which panels actually need to be clayed.

use the QD spray to keep the surface lubricated otherwise you can marr the paintwork.  don't do too big an area at at a time as the lube just drys out.

like joe says, wash after you clay, then polish and wax.

ive just finished do it should of took before and after pictures grrrr didnt think
1 tip i will give anyone doing it DO THE ROOF FIRST
when i was rubbing it down it didnt seam to be doing much
dryed the pannel and wow ive now got a super smooth and a deep shine paint job

the way i did it
1. jet washed car
2. washed with a bucket and dryed off
3. clayed (came in kit)
4. dryed off
5. waxed (i used nxt tech wax)
6. sealed (came in kit)
7. then went over it all with towling cloth (came in kit)
the hole job took around 3 hours but well worth it
i found it better to dip the wax in water before i started and spray lots of the quick detailer as you rub
i get some pics up as soon as my lad comes in and does it for me
