If you fancy a quicker mk2 then yes it is worth it, but looking at your previous cars you could be disappointed in the performance as it depends what mods have been done to the G60. They are 160bhp as standard, but you can get more out of them with a smaller pulley (68mm or 65mm even better) and a chip, add a decent exhaust and you would be well on your way to 190-200ish.

Are they worth it ? If it's performance you're after then I'd have to say no as standard as you could get a m2 valver with 139bhp (mk2 8v is 112bhp by the way) for a lot less than the price of a G60. Don't forget that the charger will need servicing every 40k on a standard pulley and this goes down to something like every 25k on a 68mm pulley and 20k with a 65mm pulley and the service is not cheap.

keefusg60 is a regular on here and is selling one here http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=62156.0 for a similar price if that's what you're after.
......now officially dubless.
