Dear All,

The stereo in the MKV is not the most feature-rich unit I've seen, so I'm thinking about either buying:

a) Ipod Adaptor (one which allows my to keep the 6cd changer in the armrest) -

for £68

OR

b) Sony MEX-BT2500 Stereo (single DIN) headunit - which I can get for £90 + £30 for single din fascia and ISO/ aerial harness adaptors.

This unit also has bluetooth, and is a very close match for the dashboard (blue) illumination.

Has anyone installed the Sony and has any views on it? Has anyone installed the "Audio Link" device into their RCD300 instead of the standard VW Ipod adaptor?

Thanks,

Rob

I totally agree with the RCD300 being featureless...but I think fitting a single DIN stereo would be a mistake, as it will make the interior look cheap.  An ipod adaptor in my opinion is a good move.
