Upgrading head unit
« on: 01 July 2007, 19:40 »
Hi,

I've got the RCN300 unit in my GTI, if I wanted to upgrade to a unit like the MFD2 RNS nav.. what would be involved?

My car already has the nav antenna, multifunctional steering wheel and highline computer which obviously works with the current CD based RCN300 unit installed. My car also has the iPod adapter, can that be retained?

Is it just a case of removing the RCN300 head unit, unplugging it and plugging in the new RNS unit?

07 GTI, Monza II wheels, 5 doors, black pearl, man 6, interlagos interior, Xenons, middle arm rest, RCN300 audio/nav, iPod adapter, highline comp, cruise control, multifunctional steering wheel, auto wipers, lights and auto dimming rear view mirror etc...
