Peformance chip in ECU?
« on: 19 June 2007, 22:03 »
Just wanted to know is it worth it people I have had the ECU out and know it is a straight swap easy job but is it worth it?  Complete dumb f**k3r here I use to own SR novas wasnt I driving the wrong car my wife convinced me to buy a mk2 golf and I'm hooked.  The chips i put in my novas made vast improvements does it do the same for a golf?

Ive done a search on this forum and there isnt a single post that slates the eBay chips, ive even just purchased one now and am awaiting it :D Think the sellers feedback number also describes his business *powerchips_technology(1337) * lol.
According to form, they add a bit of power and torque but mostly the throttle response is much much better. Ill write my 2 cents when i get mine :D

don't expect miracles. they tend to sort out bad fuelling more than add bundles of power, and you can only really chip a digifant (late f plate onwards) 8 valve as well.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

i know which one my engine is, but mine must JUST be a digifant then. Because mines on an F plate :)
