proxies are poopensteiner

heard people complain about proxes on bigger rims, but on 15s they're the tyre to have! i rate them as good, if not better, than the PE2s i had on my clio before...

Sorry to hijack the thread a little but I've just bought a mk2 16v with the original RA's.

Tyres on it are 185/55/15, is this the right size tyre?

Looked for some tyres and they are all quite pricey, probably an odd size.

What's the best size for the RA's?

I'd better jump in quick aswell and ask, what are the best tyres and prices for standard steel wheels, (185/60/R14, I think H rated?)

The car has got a reasonable set of cheaper tyres on it at the moment, but does not like the wet too much - may be the tracking and balancing etc... but I would like to get some new tyres of a decent standard and was looking at theEagle F1's.

Check www.blackcircles.com for best prices. I've heard nothing but praise for eagle F1's.

Sounds like an odd size though like mine.

185/55/15 they don't do goodyears, 190/50/15 they do, £49 each fitted.

See if you can fit a more common tyre size to your wheels, will probably tell you in the handbook or inside the fuel filler.
