I was given a 16v at the weekend. When I picked it up, the owner said he'd swapped out the gearbox for one that wasn't close ratio. Wondering if anyone knows what gearbox code its likely to be, and whether it'd be worth swapping my close ratio box off my other valver or not? He says its running around 2500 in fifth at 70 mph but then again I don't do long journeys very often so would I be better swapping it or not?
