Water temp gauge faulty??
« on: 16 May 2007, 22:10 »
OK im confused!!

Car is running very well. Oil gets up to temp in the normal fashion, no quicker or slower than normal. Its not leaking any water. When oil is up to temp all the water pipes are hard and very hot to the touch. Rad fan kicks in when its supposed to...

BUT

...water temp needle has been reading lower and lower over the last 2 weeks, it now barely moves over the white section of the dial. at first someone said "check the heaters for hot air, if they blow cold the the 'stat could be faulty". Thats all well and good but my matrix is currently bypassed!

can someone advise me as to what the problem might be? Is it just a faulty water temp sensor? or the gauge itself? any ideas?

Thanks!!

I don't think a semi will give the same results
